Hospital Policies
Appointment Policy
To allow ample time for all patients and scheduled surgical procedures, we operate primarily by appointment. We book appointments typically 1-2 weeks in advance and we highly recommend bringing your pet's previous medical records with you to their appointment. If your pet needs a procedure performed, or you have been referred to us by another hospital, your pet will require a physical exam prior to scheduling a procedure and/or starting medication. Call us as soon as possible so we can provide your pet an appointment in a timely manner!
Patient Arrival Policy
We require that all animals be properly restrained by being placed on a leash or in a pet carrier before entering the waiting lobby. All cats must be presented in an appropriate cat carrier or on a leash and harness.
When you arrive for your appointment, please call our office (925-625-3722) so we can check you in. Please note that emergency cases do occur and always receive higher priority, which is why occasional appointment delay is inevitable. Please bring your pet, their records, and any samples with you when you come in. If this is your first visit with us, please arrive 10-15 minutes early for your appointment to fill out the new client form. Please be prepared that your pet will be in the vicinity of other animals while you wait. If your pet is here for their scheduled procedure, please stay in your car and one of the techs will come out to you to check them in.
The lobby of our hospital has two doors to keep exotics, cats and dogs separate (exotics are welcome on the cat's side). Please note the picture on the front door before you walk in, as we do have hospital cats who free roam in the lobby.
Payment Policy
We require full payment at the time that services are rendered. For your convenience, we accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, Care Credit, American Express, Apple Pay, cash and personal checks. Please be advised there is a 3% surcharge to all credit card transactions.
